Apart from maybe a couple of mates (and maybe my mum) who have stumbled across this by accident I very much doubt you have any idea who the hell I am.
I’m Dean and I fight out of the Dinky Ninja Fight Team in The Griphouse gym,Glasgow.I went there to learn a bit of BJJ and I’ve been there ever since…….seriously…..hardly left the place
At the moment I’m preparing for my 2nd Pro fight and what will be my 5th fight overall.
The fight is in the Oran Mor venue in the West End of Glasgow.

This is the 3rd show there and the first 2 were awesome. I had my 1st pro fight at the last one….winning by KO so the place has happy memories for me. This show features Joanne Calderwood….UK no2 at 52kg(thai boxing btw) fighting for a European title, John Cullen….MMA Unlimited No10 featherweight fighting European opposition. There’s loads of other great fights on as well so get your ass along and get involved.
I’ll be fighting Ireland’s Peter Wilson in a featherweight match.This will be Pete’s 12th or 13th Pro fight and as I said before……my 2nd. I suppose it sounds like i could be biting off more than i can chew but I’m confident in my own ability and that of my coaches to get my in the right shape to fight a guy of Pete’s quality.
I’ve seen some footage of him and also seen him fight live so I’m aware of his strengths but also aware of what I think I could exploit as his weaknesses.Obviously I’m not going to say now but I’ll be sure to post after the fight about whether my ideas were right or if i got a total kicking……..
Anyway….I’ll keep it short today as i have a couple of things to do today…
1. get my new gum shield sorted
2. buy blueberries and other awesome stuff from M+S
3. get punched in the face from some of the finest facial melters I know….namely…Rev. J Doolan, THE Paul McVeigh, JoJo Calderwood, Lyn’Excitement’ Min Din, Tommy Young, Sean Wright and The Terminator Guy Ramsey. Fine mix of British, Scottish, Euro and World champs there…………..bye bye brain cells….its been fun while it lasted eh.
4. go and meet the Burd (Frankie) who’s not long off a plane from NYC….she’s a singer and lots cooler than me….I should prob get her to write this as it would be a tonne more interesting.
