MMA Hit Pit grabbed a quick chat with Jemaine Facey ahead of his fight at Ultimate Challenge: Invincible on August 7th
Hi Jemaine thanks for talking to MMA Hit Pit, Your next fight is against Edgelson Lua, what type of threat does he pose to you?
None. He's a powerful, experienced fighter and he's a durable fighter - but I feel that there's no threat - I'm not scared. He's a worthy opponent to fight.
What is your game plan going into this fight?
I never have a game plan. I know his - he's going to try and take me downas he'll never want to stand with me. He'll stand for the first minute or so but will then realise that the only way is to take me down - but I'm happy with that.
Have you made changes to your camp in preparation for this fight?
I never train specifically for any fighter - I just train the way I train - concentrating on my cardio and my ground game.
If you beat Lua you will be on a 3 fight win streak, where do you think this will take you in the division and will it be added pressure not to loose?
Nah - it's a fight - it's MMA - you can lose in so many different ways - no pressure on me either way. My goal is always to win and perform well but it's up to Dave where he takes me - I don't think about that - I'm focused on the fight in front of me - I'm focused on beating him.
