Dean Amasinger was in confident mood ahead of his welterweight title clash with London Shootfighter, Alberto Mina at Ultimate Challenge: Resurrection on Saturday night. Asked whether he was concerned about Mina’s relentless takedown attempts, the Rough Huse fighter was resolute.  

“I am completely confident in my wrestling. He tries to get people down, but I think my wrestling is at a pretty good level, I’ve been training with wrestlers in Manchester – my straight wrestling is pretty good. If I wasn’t doing MMA, I’d possible compete in that, I’m really confident that I can dictate where the fight goes tomorrow. If I want to keep it standing, I can; if I want to take it to the floor, I will.”

Though he was not available for comment at the time, no doubt Mina will have something to say about that statement come fight time.
